Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GEOAT website and services at geoat.io (the "Service"), operated by GEOAT ("we," "our," or "us").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.
• One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

2. The Service

GEOAT is an AI visibility tracking platform. The Service scans third-party AI platforms (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Grok) to assess how frequently and favorably your brand is mentioned in AI-generated responses.

• Scan results are informational only. AI model responses change over time and vary by context, session, and region. GEOAT visibility scores reflect a snapshot at the time of scanning and should not be treated as guarantees of future AI behavior.
• We do not control AI model outputs. We query third-party AI platforms and report what they return. We have no ability to influence, modify, or guarantee what any AI model says about your brand.
• Data accuracy. While we strive for accuracy, AI responses can be inconsistent. Scores, rankings, and competitor data are derived from AI outputs and may contain inaccuracies.

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

Free Plan

• Limited features as described on our pricing page.
• No payment required.
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free plan at any time.

Paid Plans

• Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe.
• Your subscription begins when you complete checkout and will automatically renew each billing cycle unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle after notice is given.

Payment Processing

• All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
• You are responsible for providing valid and current payment information.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Service
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service beyond the features we provide
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission
• Use the Service in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the Service
• Use the Service to send spam, phishing messages, or other unsolicited communications
• Violate any applicable law or regulation in connection with your use of the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

Our IP

• The Service, including its design, code, features, documentation, and branding, is owned by GEOAT and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
• These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand elements.

Your Data

• You retain ownership of the brand names, keywords, and other content you provide to the Service.
• By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use your content solely to provide and improve the Service.
• We will not sell your data to third parties.

Scan Results

• Scan results (including scores, rankings, competitor data, and AI response excerpts) are generated by the Service based on third-party AI outputs. You may use scan results for your own internal business purposes.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Service Availability

• We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
• We may suspend or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time for maintenance, updates, or other reasons, with or without notice.
• Scheduled scans may occasionally be delayed or missed due to system maintenance or third-party API outages. Missed scans do not entitle you to a refund or credit.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party AI platforms and services. We are not responsible for:

• Changes to third-party APIs, pricing, or availability that may affect our Service
• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of responses from third-party AI models
• Outages or disruptions caused by third-party service providers

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
• We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• In no event shall GEOAT be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GEOAT and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party

11. Termination

• You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@geoat.io.
• We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms, with or without notice.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Australia.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GEOAT regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
